the older we get, the less we sleep. though sleeping is such a delightful pleasure. some say "i don't need to sleep much". some say "if i don't get my eight hours sleep, i'm good for nothing". i am one of them. whilst the body goes through a salutary biological repairing process, the brain leaves on a journey from which we sometimes get postcards. heavy, light, agitated, peaceful, long, short, contagious, ... always mysterious.
watching someone asleep is maybe the most peaceful and relaxing moment we can easily get. though it's only the lonely contemplation of someone else's happiness.
